Spoke

‘Leith is a part of the city that I would like to get to know better. It’s got a movement to it, it’s on its way somewhere. Being someone who has moved continents, I can relate to that feeling, the need for change.


Stockbridge feels clinical to me. It’s manicured in a way that a French garden would be manicured. It’s pretty, but to me, it lacks personality. I’d probably have a different assessment if I lived there. People and places tend to seem more welcoming when you get to know them.


Having a teenage daughter forces me to view the world, and the city, through her perspective. My experiences here have been shaped by her experiences, especially at a time in her life when she’s changing so rapidly.’
