Louise

‛Edinburgh has always been a creative space for me, mentally. Before I moved to Edinburgh, I spent many summers at the Fringe, so it’s always been connected to creativity and culture and performance for me. Now, I focus mostly on photography.


The market is quite small in Edinburgh, so it’s easier to break into, but there isn’t a lot of room for progression. I’ve been able to make some amazing connections, and I’ve had some incredible opportunities, which will hopefully help when I move to London.


The smell of malt whiskey marks the West End. The vertical distillery is just down the road, so especially when it’s windy it smells so strongly. To this day, I can’t make up my mind whether it’s a smell I like or not – I think I do.’
