‘I lived in West Cork for twelve years, then I lived in Dublin for twelve years, and then I went a little bit stir crazy during the pandemic and decided to move to Edinburgh as soon as I had saved enough and people were allowed to travel.

I feel like Edinburgh allowed me to live my best life in a way I couldn’t in Dublin. I love all the greenery. I live near Arthur’s Seat, so I love going for a run around it. There’s a bit at the start, once you’ve gotten up, that you can see loads of Edinburgh. That view is really beautiful, and I always feel amazing when I see it.

I remember telling a friend, a few months after I moved here, that I didn’t feel like an Edinburgh person. They were like, “But you cycle around, you know your way around the city” and I was like, “I guess it really is that simple.”’
