‘I’ve lived in Edinburgh for almost a year exactly. I’m from a small town, so it feels like there’s way more culture, diversity, people, and things to do here.
I love being on a bus and seeing Edinburgh Castle just past Princes Street. Everyone’s taking their touristy pictures, and I’m like, “This is great. I get to see this every day. People spend so much money to come here on their holidays, and I just get to see this every day!”
The Leith area feels most like me. There are so many different kinds of people there, so I see people who remind me of back home, or Dundee, or St Andrews. It’s like an amalgamation of all the places I’ve lived and the people I’ve known.
Since moving here, I’ve gotten better at stepping out of my comfort zone and meeting new people.’
